CHOPPER'S FINAL MOMENTS CAUGHT ON CAMERA

Netflix star Matt Wright is used to wrangling crocs, less so cameras.

The "Outback Wrangler" today faced court over a fatal chopper crash which killed his best friend, Chris Wilson. 

 

7 News has obtained exclusive vision showing the moments before the helicopter went down in Arnhem Land last year while collecting crocodile eggs.

Wright is accused of attempting to pervert the course of justice after he flew to the crime scene. 

​

The reality TV star built an empire through beaming his adventurous life in the top end of Australia to the rest of the world.

​

Also in court today were Wright's two co-accused who visited the scene with him. Pilot Michael Burbage and former cop Neil Mellon pleaded guilty to destroying evidence, raising the question of whether friends are now turning on friends.

The father of two has always maintained his innocence.

​

He faces up to 15 years behind bars.
